ABOUT THE AUTHOR & BLOG
Sam Unrau is currently a university student studying Business (Accounting) at the University of Winnipeg. He has been involved with disability activism for numerous years, and has been the disability representative on the University of Winnipeg Students' Association and has been both the Provincial and National Students' with Disabilities Commissioner for the Canadian Federation of Students and the Canadian Federation of Students - Manitoba. Sam is also active within board governance and has held representation on numerous boards and committees in the last six years. As an active athlete, Sam also knows the importance of sport and the power sport has for a person with a disability.
The blog is meant to produce critical thinkings on how disabled persons are treated in society, the stigmas that surround disability, and how inclusion isn't for the sole purpose of accommodating someone with a disability. The blog will also feature posts from contributing authors and may cover topics that are generally outside the scope of disability such as political topics.
